For My Favorite Pet Of All Time

I know this is supposed to be a post for the dogs, but this is the only way I can honor my most loved pet.

Cookie, our parrot flew away yesterday and we can't find him anymore.

He's been our pet for the past sixteen years. All those times he never failed to bring happiness to our lives.

Yeah, he's not the most talented animal there is. Apart from his name, he only knows how to say 1 word. But he's been great to us. He always likes to show off when we have guests.

I love that bird so much, he is my avatar. I don't think I'm going to change that anymore.

He flew away.

I hope that whoever finds you would give you a good home.

Or give you back to us.

I love you Cookie.

I love you Pikoy.

You will never be forgotten.

We miss you so much.

I hope you're in a better place right now.

The Mystery of Noggin

My youngest pup is Noggin.

I would like to write down that he's a shih tzu but it's been a week since I started doubting what his breed really is.

You see, unlike Neeto, Noggin was a gift to my by my partner.

My partner really isn't a dog lover and doesn't really care too much about dog breeds. Noggin was bought from a friend, so he doesn't really have papers. So, with nothing but a word that he is a standard shih tzu, I am left wondering.

I think he's a Lhasa Apso.

He doesn't necessarily act like a shih tzu. This early on, he acts like a middle child.  He has his own world. He does not listen to me, my mom or my dad. He likes to eat a lot. He likes to play with Neeto, which  after a few minutes turns to a fight between them. And he'd eat just about anything you put in his mouth, except for his vitamins.

Yep, he's the problem child in the family.

But I have accepted that it's who he is. Maybe because he's still young (he's a month younger than Neeto). I'm pretty sure one day The Dog Whisperer's tricks will work on him.

But right now, I really don't care about that.

What I want answered is a different question.

What breed is he really?

And how the heck do I clean up his messy snout?

Meet My Eldest

The eldest of my kids
Neeto is my eldest pup.

He’s a pure bred shih tzu.

I immediately got attracted to his mostly black color. You don’t really see a lot of black shih tzu’s out there. And besides, shih tzu’s are girly dogs, so I thought if ever I’d get one, I’d get the one that would make me look manlier.

He’s a really special dog for me, being that he’s the first puppy that I ever bought, so he is spoiled by me. I love it that he’s a natural follower, so he’s not that hard to train or make a “balanced” dog.

The only problem I have with him is that he’s a biter. He likes to bite us. Although it’s not really hard or it won’t pierce or wound you, it worries me that some kid might play with him and get bitten. I have yet to find an episode of The Dog Whisperer where Cesar rehabilitates a dog who likes to bite.

The Puppy Diarist

Gillboard's journey in life so far, looks like this...

Graduated from school.

Found a decent job.

Got promoted.

Voluntarily demoted himself.

Stayed single.

Discovered blogging.

Moved out.

Moved back home a few months later.

Met the one.

Became a father to two cute little shih tzu boys.

Now my world has turned upside down.

Welcome to fatherhood.

Hope I survive the experience.
